Weekly curriculum includes:
Daily language group, Sign language, safety, manners and etiquette, library day, sensory, music, game day, science activity, art creation and community service project.
Goals for this school year:
- Know first and last name
- Spell name
- Write first name
- Introduce their address and phone number
- Continue recognition of upper and lower case letters A to Z
- Introduce how to write upper and lower case letters A to Z
- Know basic colors and shapes
- Draw basic shapes
- Introduce drawing a person with a body
- How to follow simple directions and how to put things away
- Follow two-to-three part commands
- Practice using scissors
- Develop connection between letters and sounds
- Recognize approximately 40-50 site words
- Counting 10 or more objects to develop association between tangible objects and quantity
- Counting numbers 31+
- Continue building understanding of the different parts of the calendar and weather
- Spanish 5 Days per week (Numbers, Colors, Letters, Shapes, Months, Days, Letters A to Z)
- Bullying awareness and prevention
- Introducing Good/Bad Touches
